Practicing handstands improves strength, flexibility, body control and balance throughout your body.
This workshop includes:
* A basic foundation on how to develop a strong handstand.
* Importance of the wrists and shoulders mobility/strength in a handstand.
* Safely coming out of a handstand.
* Learning the right techniques and exercise drills to correct alignment, plus be introduced to different variations of handstands.

Born and raised in Russia, at the age of 9 Genia started gymnastics and soon after joined a circus school for kids where she trained as an aerial artist and contortionist. Since then, she has performed in group contortion all over the world.
After finishing high school Genia went to Moscow and started working for Big Moscow circus as a professional aerialist, performing in Lyra (aerial hoop) act.
In 2003 she was offered a job in Japan performing at Disney Land in “The Little Mermaid” show. While working in Japan she met her husband Tim from NZ who played professional Rugby there, and a year later they moved to NZ.
