Michaela first started practicing yoga in 2014 whilst studying medicine at university. She very quickly felt the benefits in her physical and emotional body and noticed how the eastern philosophical teachings of yoga can create more holistic care in her work. She has completed 3 teacher trainings across New Zealand: 200hr Vinyasa with YogaKoh, 100hr Yin training in Queenstown, and 100hr training in the Art and Science of Rest with Awakening Arts. This combination has showed her the importance of both movement and rest in balancing the nervous system and cultivating alignment. She feels passionate about these teachings to create a community where we can feel connected to our true authentic selves, be our own best teachers, and live in a place of harmony.
The magic of New Zealand has captured her since she moved from the UK in 2020. Outside of yoga she enjoys surfing, painting and being out in nature.
